Ok… now these are really damn good… Will they be effective? who knows but who knows about anything any more.. but i am liking the variety and the integrity of the ads i’m seeing in opposition to 8… Integrity may very well be our Achilles heel but if it is then so be it.

Oh… and I can’t ask enough… Please donate.. And even if you can’t afford a dime – please pass the word along and talk to your friends, family, and neighbors. Tell them what the issue means to you. Tell them about people you know who will be effected. Even if you can’t convince them to vote no – even convincing them to not vote yes would be better. Seriously.

Ok… This might actually be my new favorite thing… Particularly with the shitty week we’ve been having in the news all over the place… It seems that today is ‘PARK(ing) day’ and, according to the site:a

PARK(ing) Day is a one-day, global event centered in San Francisco where artists, activists, and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spots into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public parks.

don’t ask me why but i just love this idea…. maybe its just cuz of the week but the whole idea of taking a day to set up a blow up swimming pool and beach chairs right out in the street and unwinding just sounds so great….

If anyone doubts the longevity of Gay and Lesbian marriages they only need look at these two – they have been together for 55 years and were FINALLY allowed to marry in California on June 16th…
