You knew it had to happen but I always find it interesting what kinds of clever ways people find to use Apple technology. Granted not all are on the up and up but still – clever folks out there… Everything from iChat dating, to iChat Pen Pals, to using a DV cam to re-broadcast Pay-per-view TV (which – by the way is stealing just like swaping MP3s – if you don’t want people to put in draconian security in their products to stop this kind of stuff then don’t use the technology in ways that will force them to do it).

The article also points to a number of clearing house sites that provides references to a bunch of clearing house sites that give people a way of finding others with iSight Cameras. Kind of reminds me of the old CU-See Me days of years ago – only with video that works. In case you don’t want to go searching here are the links:

My new Wheels

I’m SUPER excited… Did the deed today. Got new wheels. Come Monday this is what I’ll be drivin:

I’ve really been likin the Audis and once I drove ’em I was definitely sold.. VERY well put together snappy little cars. Drives like a German car without the price tag of some of the other ones.. I decided on the wagon just because I got SO used to the cargo space in my 4-Runner and the Audi wagons don’t feel like soccer mom cars like some of the others.. (Ok – maybe a LITTLE like Soccer Mom cars – but I’m a big fan of the soccer mom so thats OK)… The other thing I wrestled with was whether to get an automatic or a stick and actually went with the ‘tiptronic’ automatic which seemed like a cool compromise. It lets you shift up and down if you want to but you don’t HAVE to and the fact is most of the time I’m commuting to and from work and i’d rather not deal. But I may miss the stick (no clever comments thank you)

The TT is a cute fun car but a little TOO cute for me in general – but a fun car to have for the weekend! 🙂

Still not a fan of the whole car buying / haggling / trade in experience… But i’m SUPER Psyched at the new car… Drives like a dream… Tricked out with the features I wanted and none of the ones I didn’t… Woo Hoo… 😉

Citizenship Test

One of the guys I work with just took his citizenship test yesterday at the INS (or whatever its called these days) and he mailed out the sample test to our team…. For the most part the questions are pretty straight forward and should be simple but I’m guessing there are a lot of born and raised citizens that would have trouble with many of these questions…
