More fun tools
He just pointed me at a couple of fun tools that I had to share:
- HyperEdit: A simple live HTML editor that allows you to edit HTML with style sheets and even PHP and watch the effects on your page as you edit… It does a rather poor job of syntax coloring (I prefer BBEdit for that) but it is pretty useful for layout and such (which I was futzing with last night.
- Kung-Log: A pretty cool tool for editing MT blogs on Mac OS X. Pretty snazzy Mac OS X like interace for doign basing pposting on my blog… I’ve had a number of crashes with it lately so i’m not 100% sold on it but I sure would like an easier way to do a quick post than navigating the web interface. I’m still wrestling with thins one though - can’t really recommend it as much as point it out (and ask if anyone has found alternatives)

I like Kung-Log and how it interfaces with iTunes. And I also thing it works with iPhoto. For uploading pictures. But of course it won’t upload mp3’s or ACC files. Just song info from google cuz otherwise that would be stealing, which is bad!
Johnny German needs to focus on MS stuff for the rest of us. I’m feeling all excluded an’ stuff here.
Mac is whack!
Sorry darlin.. you’re on your own on this one…. Don’t do the PC thing ( ’sept to fire up Virtual PC to make sure you can read what I wrote!
)….
I can’t in good conscience encourage bad habits!
I am not Kung-Log nor have i ever been Kung-Log.
(your link in the post is wrong)
woops… sorry bout that.. fixed it…
Thanks for the tip on the MT editors. (Leave it to a developer to find all the cool stuff!)
HyperEdit is cool! Glad you posted that. Yes, it needs better syntax coloring, and it also needs the ability to open text files. I put snippets of HTML that will be pulled in with server-side includes in files with a .txt extension, which it refuses to open.
HyperEdit’s link isn’t working at the moment; feh, I was hoping to see it. My text editor of choice is TextPad. If it was a person, and I weren’t married, I’d marry it.
