At a LOSS

I Just can’t tell you how much faith I’ve lost in the american electorate… Up until I had a certain amount of faith that even if there was evil and corruption in power, when given a chance, the american voter would do the right thing and vote with their brains and maintain the dignity of a great nation…

I’ve changed my mind…

It is somewhat excusable to vote the way people did in 2000… The administration didn’t have a presidential track record.. But today there is no excuse. We know what the man has done and by voting the way we did yesterday we’re telling the world that we’re proud of it. All I can say is I’m happy to live in a blue state (though barely.. WTF)

We’ve turned into a nation of schoolhouse bullies and frankly I’m absolutely disgusted…

What even somewhat more disturbing than the Presidential outcome - although that’s pretty damn depressing - are the 11 marriage “protection” outcomes.

I just went from stunned to sad…heartbreakingly sad. Now we will seen four more years of even more mean-spirited policies, a further erosion of civil rights,more people without shelter, healthcare or childcare, more people living in poverty (and the majority of those will be children) - with a concomitant increase in the obscenely rich and powerful. This is not a democracy - it is a corporate state.

I don’t recognize my country anymore.
