Kick her in the belly Jack..
For those of you looking for something to do in San Francisco over the next week or two – go see Leslie Jordan in ‘Like a Dog on Linoleum‘… He is the guy that played Karen’s arch nemesis on Will and Grace and was Brother Boy in Sordid Lives (which you NEED to see if you haven’t). A bunch of us went to see it last Friday and it was HYSTERICAL – I could barely breathe a few times I was laughing so hard.
Nuff said.. go see it..
(and you won’t get the subject line unless you see the show)
A crazy weekend with Kayla
This past weekend Kevin’s niece was in town from North Carolina. She just graduated from high school and this was her first trip anywhere on an Airplane. Kevin was REALLY worried about making sure that she had a great time and experienced a lot of San Francisco – and BOY did she.. Kevin spent a TON of time taking her all over the city… Here’s the basics:
- Thursday: China Basin, Hills Brother’s Building, Marin Headlands for sunset
- Friday: Union Square, Embarcaderro, Market Street, China Town, Dinner with Matt and Audrey (I was around for dinner)
- Saturday (I was here for all this): Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Buffalos in GG Park, Japanese Tea Garden, Modern Dance show at Yerba Buena Center
- Sunday: Boat Tour of the Bay, Brunch at the Buena Vista with Matt, Brian and Audrey for Father’s Day, Fisherman’s Warf, Japan Town, and then Madama Butterfly at the War Memorial Opera House
- Monday:Treasure Island, Lombard Street, China Town again, Dinner at Walzwerk
- Tuesday: DeYoung Museaum, Haight Street, the Mission, the Castro, and then dinner at Lime followed by Gelatto in the Castro
Hows that for an exhausting weekend… Unfortunately I could only do the Saturday and Sunday stuuff because of work.. But was still a LOT of fun.. If you’re interested, the pictures are on Flickr or up on my .mac account

Supporters Lose in Gay Marriage Ban Vote
By LAURIE KELLMAN, Associated Press Writer
Wednesday, June 7, 2006(06-07) 08:57 PDT WASHINGTON, (AP) —
The Senate on Wednesday rejected a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, dealing an embarrassing defeat to President Bush and Republicans who hoped to use the measure to energize conservative voters on Election Day.
Seems Mr. Bush has lost two more votes since the last time they tried this – and both Republicans.. Seems even his party is starting to think that writing hate into the most sacred document in the nation might be a bad thing…
Oh… And by the way.. If you want to see the results look here and if you want to read the text of the proposal itself look here.
