Random Morsels
Random thoughts….
– Expanded cable into our neighborhood – a good thing… Two HOT ASS Russian men installing it – even better… DAMN… (They’re augmenting the cable to add chanels in our hood and I came home from Peets today to find these men workin on the side of my house – result is a bigger box on the side of our house that i’m not thrilled with but I didn’t even THINK about that when I was watchin ’em work! 😉 )…
– Another Good thing? The magic TiVo remote key sequence that lets me jump forward 30 seconds (i.e. the commercial skip feature).. Gotta love those geeks that hid that in there and shipped it.. God Bless ’em! 😉
Action Packed Weekend…
Once again, without planning to I’ve managed to book my whole weekend without a minute in there to relax and smell the flowers.. thats OK… Its in my nature (ask anyone).. Looks like tonight i’m goin out for cocktails to celebrate my friend Andy’s new job and kevin’s bonus, and the shrink wrapped box of my product they gave me today, and to celebrate Matt’s … well hell – just celebrate Matt! (and brian too if he comes) 😉
Tomorrow i’ve got a birthday-beach-barbeque for Scott’s Biirthday and then I gotta head down to help demo for our launch event… And after that? who knows.. maybe shake my groove thang.. or maybe sleep… depends on my energy and who tempts me…
Sunday my little sis is coming up with the ‘rents for brunch and to hang out… She’s (my sis) back in town from Colorado for a few days and I’m dead set on convincing her to move back here when she graduates if it kills me… Colorado is a nice place and all (love it actually) – but its too far away… and I’m not moving back there any time soon.. So she needs to get her butt back here! 🙂
After brunch.. undoubtedly the eagle or el rio…
LORD.. I’m gonna go to work Exhausted on monday.. thats OK…
C’mon… PLEASE! :)
I just found that little guest map thing that everyone else has and I love it – lets me know who’s visiting and where they’re from.. but relys on people clickin there…
So PLEASE… pretty please… be your best friend… Just click on that little map on the left – I love the idea! ;):):)
( I sound like a little kid don’t I? 🙂 )
“The way things work”
So I had this COOL book when I was a kid called “The way things work”. It was this wicked cool book that explained how everything works – from cars to computers to blenders to steam turbines.. Had cool descriptions as well as really nice pictures and diagrams.. Since I was a geek from an early age and very curious I loved this kind of thing… Pissed my parents off on many occasions by taking apart everything I could find to see how it worked.. My dad came home from work one day to find that I had completely dissected the new Atari 800 computer he had gotten me for christmas and it was all over the kitchen table – I just wanted to see what was in side.. Luckily I was also very meticulous so I generally got everything back together too – and was pretty good at recognizing when I wouldn’t be able to (so I didn’t try to take the disk drive apart)..
Well – it turns out that for a day job she has been doing banners for a site just like my book… Her work is wicked cool but i’m loving this site too… brings out the kid in me! :):)
Don’t forget
Father’s day is Sunday.. This one usually is overshadowed by Mother’s day so don’t forget to do something for your old man! :):):)
huh huh huh.. Fire…
Pic from Memorial Day BBQ ( see Lessons Below 😉 )… Scary part is that is after it went down a little.. Guess I should add to those lessons “Match light charcoal doesn’t need lighter fuel”
