Readers Digest of the week:

• Swimming this morning with Matt. Still my favorite way to get my cardio in though MAN I wish my stamina was better. My form is still pretty damn good but wearin me down! ;)… Need to go more I guess..
• Work is crazy busy with meetings and planning. Ship one product and for some strange reason people actually want us to start right off on the next.. Whats up with THAT? :):) Its a good thing though.. This is the fun part of the product cycle.
• Design Within Reach store opening tonight over on Fillmore at Bush. Cool store. Found a few things Kevin and I could agree on (granted none we can afford right now.. but still).
• Workin on Condo Conversion tasks for the house… makin me crazy as usual but I gotta get this shit done..
• Avoiding the news – what I”m seeing is makin it hard to sleep so i’m gonna avoid it for a bit. I’ll stick to Charmed and Will and Grace. (Shows about Magic that have hot guys in ’em are right up my alley.. And will and grace is just an old favorite! 😉 ).

I’m sure there is more but hell.. not like this is gonna be my last post… more later…

My Weekend

Its kinda nice getting back to normal weekends again after having so many that were either spent working the whole time or at least having it on my mind… I did spend some time workin – but just on things I wanted to be doin – not cuz I had to… Whew.. 🙂

Friday night was low key which is my favorite way to spend a friday night.. Kevin’s still recovering from his alergy issues so he was feelin kinda punk.. So we hid inside, rented movies (which I still haven’t returned – DAMN) and ordered pizza… Watched Bruce Almighty.. Skip it.. Bad… Lame.. Super Lame..

Saturday was pretty mellow too. Got up and cleaned the house (needed it after all the travel of late). Then went to brunch with k and some shopping.. got some new shoes, some shirts, and a swim suit ( Matt and I have started swimming lately – i’m LOVING it – but my workout suit was kinda tired ). After shopping Matt and I went swimming – great workout but EXHAUSTING! 🙂

Saturday night was a blast.. Kevin’s friend Jason came with us over to Matt and Brian’s for dinner.. After that Matt, Jason, Kevin and I went out dancing.. Went to some new club called Mighty (or something like that) over south of market (near Gold’s gym for the locals out there).. The space was totally cool – art on the walls, chill space – and the crowd was pretty good.. little small but cute crowd and good music.. We stayed until about 3am which was just about right for me (given I had to be up at 8:30 for mother’s day)… Good times! 🙂

And today I spent with my Mother.. Went down to Los Gatos and went out to brunch with her and my step dad.. was very nice and a beautiful day.. After brunch we walked around San Jose in the sunshine…

Overall a great weekend! 🙂

Oh yea… And Vacation

Oh yea.. And after NAB? I FINALLY took a week off of work. First few days I spent at home while Kevin visited his family in North Carolina (I went back with him for christmas but I kinda needed some alone time so he went without me) and then we both met in NYC on Tuesday to spend some time…

Our friends Clayton and Christopher were gracious hosts as usual and we got to see Katy, Scott, and Ellis and meet this guy (kevin and bob knew each other from years ago and they discovered there was a blog connection while talking over a cigarette). Also saw this guy as we were meeting Katy for dinner at Cafeteria though didn’t get to actually meet.. Unfortunately we didn’t get time to hook up with a couple other friends while we were there.. Guess there is always next time… Still would love to meet these guys but I missed ’em last time.

Star sightings included Boy George, Mo Rocca, Richie Rich, and Amanda Lepore… 😉

I’ll post more info and a few pictures later but I figured I’d share quickly.. While its on my mind..

Never too old

For an easter basket…

My mom and Webb came up yesterday for easter – the schedule was a little confused to workaround helping out Matt and Brian where needed but we ended up having a really nice day relaxing and futzing around. We went to Church (without kevin, who came up with some lame work excuse to get out of going to the Christian Science church with the rest of us 😉 ) and my Mom and I walked Matt and Brian’s dogs so they could deal with other things (and so my mom could explore Golden Gate Park as she loves to do). After that we came back and slowly put together an easter dinner of ribs, baked beans, artichokes, and a salad – hows that for odd but really yummy.

But the best part was they brought Kevin an I a huge easter basket full of stuff that neither of us have any business eating (but undoubtedly will anyway)… We’re talkin chocolate bunnies, peeps, jelly beans, malted milk balls, marshmallow eggs… And that cellophane grass that gets all over the fuckin place.. I LOVE it! 😉

A weekend in Palm Springs

Things got so busy I never got around to posting about the trip Kevin and I took with Rick and Randy to Palm Springs. The weekend was REALLY nice – we spent the weekend going on hikes through the mountains and desert (including Joshua Tree national park), hangin out by the pool, and going out to eat. Rather than go into details i’ll just point you at Randy’s description – he did a GREAT job of describing the weekend..

A Photo Trip to Palm Springs
