Outside World
Picture Walk Round 2
I’ve been crazy busy as usual but this weekend I actually got a break from the grind. I actually took friday and tomorrow off of work (for the most part).. Friday was TOTALLY chill. Quick trip to the dentist (was supposed to be much worse but ended with a quick prescription and an appointment for later) and then chores around the house.
Saturday was Valentines day and Kevin and I had a GREAT day. I cooked him breakfast and then we went to get haircuts, facials, and massages and then we came back and he cooked dinner… VERY nice…
Then today we participated in the 3rd of Randy’s Photo Walk events. This time it was on the USS Hornet over in Alameda. The hornet is a retired World War II Aircraft carrier that’s on display for the public now. VERY cool. And, as usual, I took a lot of crappy pictures and one or two decent ones… You be the judge:
Now we’re gonna go meet a buddy for cocktails since i’m taking a vacation day tomorrow (kevin has the day off and I needed a break)…
Got a BNUNCH to write about but not sure where to start so I’m gonna post more later… Hope all’s well with everyone – i’m off to see what you all have been up to! 🙂
MAN They’re gonna be PISSED
In case you haven’t seen yet:
Massachusetts high court rules civil unions aren’t enough, same-sex couples entitled to marry
MAN That is going to piss of the hate mongers – I LOVE it! 🙂
I’m always happy to see this kind of thing although I do have to admit that I’m more than a little worried about the two steps back that seem to come with every step forward. This kind of thing is just the fuel people, including Dubbya, are looking for as fuel for amending the constitution to ban this very thing. While I’d love to believe that the people in this nation are sane enough to recognize the hate in making that kind of change to the Constitution I’m consistently surprised about the lack of sanity in our elections. I’m REALLY afraid that people just don’t get it…
MIA
By the way… In case anyone has been wondering – I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth but I haven’t had a whole lot of time to post here.. I won’t make any promises to improve that like I have in the past because, frankly, if I’m posting because I feel like I have to I’ll wind up posting useless drivel (though who knows – maybe I do that anyway)..
Things have been VERY busy for me lately. Work has gone from a normal pace to a feverish one and its makin me crazy.. Some fun stuff goin on but all of it is colliding at the same time which doesn’t lend itself to sanity. On top of that I’m trying to spend a LITTLE time with my boyfriend so he doesn’t kill me and do the other things that I have to like payin bills and stuff. The result is when I get a free second I’ve been finding myself sitting on the couch goign ‘buh buh buh buh buh’…
Anyway… Just figured I’d peek in quickly and say hi… Hope you’re all having a great weekend! 🙂
Well this is fun
So this is a map of everywhere I’ve been in my life! 🙂 DAMN – looking at that there are SO MANY Places I’d like to go! 🙂 (Thanks to BoiFromTroy)

I’m gonna CRY
i can’t believe the holidays are over ALREADY. Its SUNDAY. Tomorrow is Monday. Tomorrow is a WORK DAY. That is SO SAD.
I need a vacation! 🙂
HAPPY New Year
Realized I never wished y’all a happy new year – man I’m just not as prolific with posting to my blog these days as I have been in the past.
My new years eve / day this year was JUST what I needed – low key with good friends… I decided a little while ago that this year I didn’t want to spend New Years eve doing things that would keep me out till sunrise and ruin my next day. I’ve never been much of a fan of New Years eve in general – it always seems that there is such a huge expectation to do something grand and it’s pretty hard to live up to expectations.
So, as a happy middle ground between a crazy party night and hiding in a corner, we ended up having some good friends over for Dinner and drinks. It was PERFECT. Our friend Stephen came up from from LA and Matt, Brian, Matt and Bill all came over to our place. We bought 2 Fondue pots and a 70s new years.. we made Beef, Pork, Cheese, and Chocolate Fondue and had cocktails. All that was followed up by an AMAZING Tiramisu and left over Cherry Yum Yum… Was GREAT… Just hung out and made a social event of cooking and hanging out with some of my best friends in the world…
The next day we did NOTHING.. was GREAT… Walked over to Tin Pan for breakfast with Stephen and relaxed the rest of the day… Last night kevin and I watched Pirates of the Caribbean while Stephen went out and… er.. um.. enjoyed San Francisco… 🙂
GREAT new year…
As to resolutions – who knows.. Keep it together and smell the roses a little more..
