Guinea Pig

MAN I love being a guinea pig for a trainee in a doctor’s office… Optometrist has a new assistant it seems and the guy seems well meaning but fairly clueless. Doesn’t give you confidence when the doctor is standing over the guy repeating the same things over and over again and among those are phrases like ‘No… it needs to be CLOSER to his eye before you press the button’…. Can’t the guy pratice on a mellon or something before he graduates to sticking things in my eye..

(BTW – He’s ordering a test pair of the contacts that Ray recommended… Sure would be nice to wake up and be able to see! 😉 )

Latest ‘challenge’

So we’ve discovered that we have a nest of these fun little bastards

up somewhere in our attic and are crawling out through a hole near one of our living room windows. Started notice them flying about a few weeks ago and noticed where they were going last week and Kevin had an ‘encounter’ with one last night..

So Dissapointed…

Was SO hoping James would choose Brian. Brian seemed like SUCH a sweet guy. Ah well.. Least I pegged Franklin as the straight Guy.

My Day today

is going to be spent here… Woo hoo… Everyone’s gotta take a day of work from time to time – right? :)…. And riding roller coasters is one of my favorite ways to do it! 😉

Deck Contractors?

Any of you San Francisco kids out there have a recommendation for a good Deck Builders / Contractors? I spent part of yesterday trying to track down a quote for some repair work on our deck and didn’t get a SINGLE returned call.. What is up with businesses – don’t they get the distinction between returning phone calls and $$ in the bank… had the same problem with my optometrist… took them 3 or 4 days just to return my phone call for an appointment (granted I could have called them again but I was kind of being a bitch and testing them)

So if anyone near by has built a deck and has a favorite (and preferably cheap) person / company let me know.
