Ok… This might actually be my new favorite thing… Particularly with the shitty week we’ve been having in the news all over the place… It seems that today is ‘PARK(ing) day’ and, according to the site:a

PARK(ing) Day is a one-day, global event centered in San Francisco where artists, activists, and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spots into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public parks.

don’t ask me why but i just love this idea…. maybe its just cuz of the week but the whole idea of taking a day to set up a blow up swimming pool and beach chairs right out in the street and unwinding just sounds so great….
