The scary thing is that its not horribly different than now. Granted it was a different boyfriend and different digs, and slightly different job, but not like I was moose herding in Alaska… At that time I was still dating my now ex Lance and living in this tackey little apartment in the Haight (though it did have a great view and handy location – but ugly as hell and was tormented by the Landlord’s bitch of a daughter). At the time I was still at Apple however I was working on the Java VM for the Mac OS (Mac OS 9 at the time – MRJ) after having just left Copeland team (10 buck for the first person to know what the hell that was). Happy flippin new years

Ugggg… So New Years eve was supposed to be mellow… ended up having a couple of friends over to hang out and celebrate rather than going out and dealing with parties, crowds, and all that mess.. Unfortunately, right round noon on Satruday I started feeling like crap. As it turned out I came down with the same damn flu (or cold, or crepping crud, or whatever) that ruined Kevin’s Christmas… I managed to struggle through new years eve without being too much of a martyr (although Kevin did most of the work) but new years day through today I’ve been down for the count… And I feel really sorry for Kevin cuz MAN am I a baby when I’m sick..

Anyway… I’m starting to feel slightly better though I’m still layin low for fear this bitch will come back and smack me again… But I sure do appreciate kevin putting up with my crap…

But seriously – Happy new Years folks! :):)

Christmas Time

Just got back from my Christmas excursions and figured I’d drop y’all a quick update… I had a great holiday for the most part… Kevin and I had to go separate places this year which was a shame (he was with his family in North Carolina and I was with part of mine in Nebraska) and UPS did a pretty spectacular job of fucking things up (not a SINGLE BOX that was guaranteed on time actually was – pretty impressive in its own way) but in general it all was very nice.

Like I said, Kevin left last Tuesday to spend a few days in North Carolina with his family and the following friday I flew out to Omaha to spend Christmas with my dad and Grandma. My grandma just moved into new digs so we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with her. Did a little shopping Christmas Eve and went to the Omaha Zoo on the day after. Also got to goo meet up with my buddy Scott Christmas night and went to The Maxx (a big gay bar in Omaha)… Overall a very nice trip! 🙂

When we both got back into town we turned around and headed out to spend some time with my mom, step dad, sister, her boyfriend, and my step sister.. Was really nice as well. Went to dinner on the 27th at a cool restaurant in Sacramento (little drama with a bitch of a hostess but REALLY good food and a cool place).. Then had a second Christmas the next morning…

Overall a really good holiday… now glad to be back at home relaxing and watching Lost (never seen it before – CREEPY show! :))

Oh.. And here are some pictures from both trips.. Some good shots in there of the family (lots of me in this one – other people had the camera this go-round :):) )

There are two movies coming out this weekend that I can’t WAIT to see… And, according to metacritic, they both are gonna be GREAT.. I was totally torn as to which one to see first but the big homo in me won out over the big kid in me… So Friday night its this:

Is this thing on… testing 1 2 3

Guess so… Haven’t been on here in a while so figured I’d say hey… usual excuse (work and a zillion other things)… But this week Apple’s shut down so i’m being a complete lazy bum and hangin out doing not much… In fact today I’m headed over to Nickel Spa for a massage then I may head over to see Harry Potter on the IMAX… Hope so at least…

So anyway.. whats been keeping me busy?… Well Matt’s surprise birthday party was last weekend – that helped keep me occupied for one of the days last weekend (the previous day I was down in LA for the last day of a work trip…

Lets see.. what else… Oh yea.. I got a new toy at home…. one of these:

Ya know… a QUAD Processor G5 Macintosh with a 30″ display.. Oh my GOD… It is CRAZY cool.. I recommend them to everyone… REALLY FUCKING Fast and this Display is just absurdly big.. I love it… I hadn’t upgraded my mac at home in many years and it was time… And since I was so out dated I decided to go a little nuts…

Anyway… I’m off to my massage now.. but figured I’d check in quickly! 🙂 Have a great day!

Vacation Season

I don’t know why it has to happen this way but I can’t complain.. It seems that vacation season is fast upon us… Matt and Brian and Drew and Adrian are going with us for a week in Mexico next week. We got a week in a condo in Puerta Vallarta from the silent auction at the HRC ball and decided to go with these guys over Halloween. Figured it’d be interesting to be there for that time of year and I’m happy to escape the Castro for that night…

Then i’ve got a week off from work for Thanksgiving – Steve decided to shut us down for the week as a reward so I need to find something to do to pass the time given that Kevin doesn’t have the day off… Granted I’ll be spending part of it writing performance reviews… but still will be nice to have it off.. Then there’s christmas week… So I should have plenty of time over the next months to get some of my steam back.. Just gotta figure out what to do with it! 🙂
